Vertical Kilometer

Vertical Kilometer On 21th July 2017  the most powerful skyrunners will challenge themselves to conquer the title.
On 21th July 2017 9.00 a.m. the most powerful skyrunners will challenge themselves to conquer the title of Vertical Kilometer.
A race (starting point in Alba di Canazei at 1.465 mt in order to reach the top of the Crepa Neigra mountain at 2.465 mt) of 2,10 km along the lightning path ("sentiero del fulmine"), with a 1.000 meters difference in height and medium inclinations of 50%.

The race will start at 9.30 a.m. in Ciasates nearby Canazei. The start will be in groups: 20 athletes starting every 4 minutes.
Athletes with highest times obtained in the last previous editions or who take part to the race for the first time and who do not enter in the ISF merit group of the world ranking will start first. For this reason, the athletes must communicate the time obtained in the previous editions on the entry form otherwise they will anyway be included in the first group starting at 9.30 a.m. At 11.00 the top-runners will start that is the top athletes leading the world ranking. The athletes belonging to this group will be determined by the Jury together with the Organizing Committee.
